Unit Plate

A unit plate refers to a type of building identification sign, such as floor plates, house number plates, or fire safety plates, which are hung at the entrance of a unit to indicate the unit number.

The size of a unit plate is generally around 35 centimeters, and it can be either horizontal or vertical in orientation, with horizontal being more common. However, if there is no space above the unit entrance, it can also be placed on the side of the doorway. Some unit plates do not have a base plate and consist only of engraved three-dimensional characters; these can be smaller in size, around 25 centimeters.

Simply by applying paint through baking on these materials, followed by screen printing or attaching engraved three-dimensional characters, a unit plate is completed. Due to their small size, if the wall surface permits, unit plates are typically installed using silicone adhesive for attachment. Engraved unit plates can be made from stainless steel three-dimensional characters, cast iron three-dimensional characters, acrylic three-dimensional characters, insulating board three-dimensional characters, PVC three-dimensional characters, etc. These three-dimensional characters are lighter in weight and can also be directly adhered to the wall surface.
